Crystal White PlayStation Vita set to hit the market

When it comes to video game consoles, especially the handheld market, the Japanese tend to have far more special editions as well as limited edition models compared to us living across the Pacific. Take the Nintendo DS for example – that super famous Nintendo handheld certainly fared very well with so many colors and editions, taking its cue from its predecessor, the Game Boy Color. Sony makes a similar attempt by announcing the June 28th availability of choosing either a Wi-Fi or 3G Crystal White PlayStation Vita which will retail for ¥24,980 and ¥29,980, respectively – and if you were to translate it to our depreciating dollar, that amounts to approximately $312 and $375, respectively. Not only that, there will be a limited edition Hatsune Miku handheld coming your way in Japan a couple of days after that, which will cost ¥10,000 ($125) more compared to the standard sticker price. Something tells me that the import market is going to get very busy when summer rolls around…
