Google News U.S. Edition gets new updates, adds a social perspective

If you love Google News, you will be happy to know that new updates to Google News U.S. Edition will be coming. The said update will include larger images on the main page, a real-time coverage page that will show the latest articles and commentaries, and Google+ posts to add a social perspective. Every new story will now have a real-time coverage page, so that you can always keep track of your favorite stories. You can also view relevant comments within articles, thanks to a feature that Google  added as they realized that plenty of new stories proved to be the inspiration for discussions over at Google+.

Hence, they also added the integration with Google+ to both the news homepage and the real-time coverage pages. Now, you can see what your circles have to say about the latest news and updates from around the world. For that to work, you will need to use the U.S. Edition of Google News and have a Google+ account. Google said that it will be rolling out said features over the coming week, so a little patience is in order. “Today’s updates are the latest examples of how we’re working to provide users with a beautiful, consistent experience across Google. So we hope you enjoy them,” Google said.
