Mondrian, Mini PC From Jeffrey Stephenson

We’ve heard of Jeffrey Stephenson and his previous creations of custom PCs using wood primarily. This time around, it seems that Stephenson has added yet another creation to his repertoire with the Mondrian; which is a mini PC inspired by a Dutch artist called Piet Mondrian. According to Stephenson, the most famous Mondrian design is the Partridge Family bus from the 70s TV show and in addition to that, the design was also implemented on a Yves Saint Laurent dress from its Fall 1965 collection.

As he did before, Stephenson created the PC case using birch plywood basswood but this time, he added colored hand cut acrylic tiles to create a mini-ITX design as you can see from the photo above. The case includes an exposed heatsink on one side with an 80mm CPU fan that is attached on the opposite side to act as a combination CPU and case fan. The Mondrian features an Intel Core i3-2105 processor, Intel HD graphics, a 256 GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and a 120w picoPSU. As for the operating system that runs on the artsy PC, he installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview.
