Samsung Galaxy Note gets Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update

It is official – users have already tweeted just slightly more than an hour ago that Samsung has already started to roll out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy Note, also going by the model number N7000. Of course, this comes across as no surprise, especially when you consider leaked images of the AT&T version of the Galaxy Note being spotted just a few days ago to have Ice Cream Sandwich up and running. Not only will upgrading the firmware on your Galaxy Note bump up the operating system version to 4.0, it will also deliver the Premium Suite apps to your doorstep (or is it phone-step in this case?). Generally speaking, Samsung’s firmware updates tend to roll out by region, so if you have yet to receive an Over The Air (OTA) notification to make the upgrade, be patient. German Galaxy Note users have already reported that they are able to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update via Kies. Are you stoked yet? Basically, the tweet reads, “Just got the notification that ICS foe (sic) the Galaxy Note is here!”
