High-end Sony full-frame camera scheduled for May-June 2013 announcement [Rumor]

If you’ve enjoyed Sony’s range of professional Alpha DSLR cameras, you might be interested to learn that according to the rumors, it seems that come May-June 2013, Sony could be announcing their next full-frame camera system. This is expected to be a high-end camera and will be “photographer” oriented. According to the reports, there are several prototype units of this alleged camera at the moment – one with a 36MP image sensor that is used in the Nikon D800, and another unit which reportedly has a whopping 50MP sensor which is supposedly Sony’s attempt to go as close as possible to “medium format” quality.

However since we have a good 8-9 months before we actually see these devices, and assuming that they are real, it should be noted that these are merely prototype units which means they are most definitely subject to change upon its announcement. Hypothetically speaking, what sort of features would you like to see Sony’s next high-end full-frame camera sport in 2013? Let us know in the comments below! Until then, we suggest you take the info above with a grain of salt.
