Meizu does seem all set to make an announcement of the Meizu MX successor later this month, but some enterprising folks have managed to get a hold of hands-on images, leaking them to the Internet, of course, and creating quite the buzz along the way. It does seem as though the Meizu MX2 will do away with the overall design that tends to resemble that of the iPhone, in order to gain a character that it can call its own. You will no longer find any more physical controls located below the display, where these have been replaced by the now standard on-screen Android navigation controls.

Not only that, the display aspect ratio is no doubt very different at first glance. Meizu has decided to stick to the 3:2 display which is similar to what the iPhone has, although the resolution count seemed to have bumped up to 1280 x 768 from 960 x 640 pixels – which is always a good thing. Expect the Meizu MX2 to be powered by a quad-core processor, in addition to running Meizu’s Flyme skin on top of Android, which we hope it will be Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Meizu MX2 will be announced in China officially this coming November 27th.
