The Oppo Find 5 will be making its way stateside for $499 unlocked

Back in October we reported on the Chinese-made Android handset, the Oppo Find 5, which not only boasted some pretty impressive specs, but had those specs packed into a pretty thin body. At that time it was unclear if the phone would be destined for markets outside of China, but the good news is that if you were planning on getting the phone via gray imports, you might not have to as Oppo USA has announced that the Oppo Find 5 will be making its way to the US and you will be able to pick one up for $499 unlocked. No word on when exactly it will be available, but hopefully those details will be revealed at the company’s Beijing event which will be taking place on the 12th of December.

Just a quick recap for those who might not be familiar – the Oppo Find 5 is an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean powered smartphone with a 5” 1920×1080 Full HD display made from Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2. It packs a quad-core Qualcomm processor under the hood clocked at 1.5GHz, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and according to Oppo USA’s website, the Oppo Find 5 appears to be compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile’s 3G network. So, who’s planning on picking one up for themselves?
