A test firmware build of Android 4.2.2 for Samsung Galaxy S3 has been leaked online. It is being reported that development on this update for Galaxy S3 is currently underway, so it is too soon to say which of the Galaxy S4 features will be brought over to Galaxy S3 in this particular update. It has been rumored that perhaps the new Galaxy S4 Camera features will come to Galaxy S3 in Android 4.3 update, but there’s no official confirmation on that yet. This pre-release I9300XXUFME7 update isn’t an official release by Samsung, so caution is advised if you’re intent on installing in on your device.

This leaked Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 update brings a host of new enhancements. Notification Center has new additions, the Settings UI has been completely revamped, there’s a new smart switch widget, new S-Voice from Galaxy S4 and the ability to run Samsung apps in fullscreen. The new Galaxy S4 lockscreen comes over as well, with multiple widgets, unlock effects, ability to change clock size, ability to set a personal message and an improve ripple effect. Adapt Display and Professional Photo screen modes also come over from Galaxy S4. More information regarding this build is available at the leak source. Samsung is expected to officially released Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 update in either July or August.
