Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A Announced

gs4-colorsHere is some word on the smartphone that South Koreans love to hate – the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A, where it has been officially announced by the South Korean consumer electronics giant, along with its full slew of hardware specifications, including new advanced features that are said to offer twice-as-fast network speeds while producing an unparalleled multimedia experience.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A is the first LTE-A smartphone in the world, where it is touted to offer double of today’s LTE speeds. How is this achieved? Definitely not through the use of arcane magic or some sort of mumbo jumbo, but rather, by leveraging on carrier aggregation. This approach would merge different frequencies together, using them as one, allowing users to enjoy faster than ever before speeds. If you thought that LTE was fast, wait till you see LTE-A in action. Granted, “double” the speed here is just theoretical, so do bear in mind that you would not actually achieve a 100% increase in speed, but chances are you would be able to see a noticeable improvement when playing games, browsing the internet, and downloading files and applications.

Underneath the hood of the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A lies a quad-core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and a 2,600mAh battery which would definitely come in handy when handling the significantly faster network speeds. Expect the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A to arrive in Korea later this summer in Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, and if you do not like either, you will have to check out additional color options which are said to be in tow later on.
