Intel’s Haswell is pretty much on everyone’s lips at this year’s Computex as a large number of computer manufacturers are announcing its inclusion in a wide variety of products, and Sony is no different as their new Vaio Pro 11 ultrabook will also be powered by the new chip.

The Sony Vaio Pro 11 will feature an 11.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display, an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, USB 3.0, HDMI and will weigh less than 1kg, or 2.2lbs. The Vaio Pro 11 will also support an extended battery “sheet” which is a wide, flat battery that can be attached to the bottom of the notebook that can double its battery life, although it will make the laptop slightly thicker as a result.

The Sony Vaio Pro 11 was spotted at this year’s Computex in Taipei, although Sony has yet to make any official announcement regarding the product. As a result, we currently don’t know when it’ll be available or the asking price for the ultrabook, but we’re sure Sony will make their official announcement sooner rather than later.
