‘New Girl’ Comes Over To Netflix For Exclusive On Demand Streaming

Twentieth Century Fox Television and Netflix have signed a multi-year exclusive deal that will bring over the former’s hit TV show, ‘New Girl,’ to Netflix. The past season of this show will be available to U.S. online members of Netflix. The first season of New Girl becomes available today, all subsequent seasons will become available once their regular broadcast run is completed. Both companies did not disclose the terms of this deal.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer, said that they know their members love comedies, and that they’ll certainly enjoy watching past, current and future episodes of New Girl. One can’t doubt this statement, this particular TV show is pretty popular, particularly with the youth demographic. Despite that, ratings for the second season are said to have taken a fall, it has some people thinking about the certainty of New Girl’s future. Netflix’s competitor, Hulu, also offers its customers the ability to watch New Girl. Paying subscribers of Hulu get the latest episodes immediately after they air, those who don’t pay for a subscription get to see those episodes after a one week delay.
