Sprint’s LG G2 Could Sport Tri-Band LTE Radios

So we know that the recently announced LG G2 will be making its way onto the four major carriers, such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, and while we presume that all the devices will be equal, it turns out that might not be the case as far as Sprint’s version is concerned. According to a recent FCC filing that shows off Sprint’s version of the LG G2, it has been suggested that perhaps the Sprint LG G2 will feature tri-band LTE radios, meaning that it should allow the phone to hook onto Sprint’s 800MHz spectrum that has recently been freed up due to Sprint shutting down the iDEN network.

What this means for Sprint subscribers is that it should allow them to have better network coverage as far as LTE connectivity is concerned, thus giving users of the phone a stronger and more reliable signal. This tri-band radio feature has made its debut in Sprint’s other products, such their latest MiFi and USB modem devices, so this isn’t exactly new. While this isn’t exactly a make or break feature, it certainly can be used by Sprint as one of its selling points.
