Alleged Windows Phone 8.1 Image Spotted

win81-screenMicrosoft’s Windows Phone 8 is a pretty smooth mobile operating system to use, and the live tiles in there do their job to make life easier for its users. Unfortunately in this day and age, it is the sheer number of practical apps that make or break the mobile operating system, and Windows Phone has not exactly been the most sterling example of a well supported operating system. Granted, it is now number 3 in terms of adoption in some markets, but the gap between it and Android plus iOS is still too large to bridge at the moment.

Well, this does not mean that updates to the operating system should stop. No sir, the folks over at Microsoft have been working hard to deliver a slew of updates to the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 version, where an alleged screenshot as seen above could be part of Microsoft’s plan to introduce the ability to select multiple tiles in the next major update. What we see here shows off a quartet of tiles that have been highlighted with check marks located in the top right corner of each, and should this be a legit image, it would mean Windows Phone 8.1 is in the same league with Windows 8 in the aspect where users get to select multiple tiles. Not only that, the oft rumored notification center icon has also been spotted. Only time will tell as to whether this is the real deal or not.
