After unveiling the update back in June at its Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has now finally released iOS 7 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to the public. The firmware has been rolled out a short while after iTunes 11.1 was released, along with iTunes Radio. Apple’s new music streaming service has now gone live for everyone. iOS 7 is available over-the-air, users should begin receiving notifications for the update soon if they haven’t already. Alternatively, one can launch the Settings app on their iOS device, go into General followed by Software Update to check if iOS 7 update is available for their device.

iOS 7 has a brand new “flat” user interface which is without a doubt one of the biggest change it comes with. Apart from the new UI, there are a lot of new features as well, Apple’s intention here is to make the user experience “simple, more useful and more enjoyable.” iOS 7 is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod 5G, iPad 2, third and fourth generation iPad and the iPad mini. Both new iPhones, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, will come with iOS 7 pre-installed when they are released on September 20th. So go ahead, download the latest iOS firmware update on your iOS device.
