Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn YouTube Video No Longer Banned

ff14-unbanFinal Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn has proven to be a game that many were looking forward to, as its digital sales were reportedly stopped due to overwhelming demand after being officially launched sometime near the end of last month. It is also interesting to note that an earlier YouTube video ban on this particular title has been lifted, which means players are now able to post gameplay videos on YouTube without running afoul of the law. Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida has already repealed the block, having announced this particular decision at PAX Prime.

It was mentioned previously that Square wanted to block monetized gameplay videos from the MMO on YouTube, and it seems that all of that is now water under the bridge, with Yoshida himself explaining, “We want players out telling the world how great our game is.” That seems like a far more sensible move, which means you can start to capture according to your heart’s content. Seriously, what is the percentage of people out there who are willing to make a living out of Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn videos alone? A little bit of pocket money on the side for gamers who love your game should be a boon granted to the masses if you ask me.
