Nexus 4 No Longer Being Sold In The U.S. [Report]

Earlier this month, the Nexus 4 8GB models were sold out, leaving many to believe the device wouldn’t be restocked and would be on its way out. It turns out that’s exactly what is happening as the 16GB versions of the Nexus 4 sold out on Monday as well with sources close to the company’s plans saying the device has met its end.

At this time, Google has no plans to bring the Nexus 4 back into stock in any of its available storage sizes. There are still a few Nexus 4 handsets available for sale through the Google Play in some countries outside of the U.S., but once those devices sell out, that’d be the end of the Nexus 4.

The rumored discontinuing of the Nexus 4 just fuels additional rumors of Google and LG working together once again for a follow-up Nexus smartphone, which is being touted as the Nexus 5. We’ve heard of numerous reported leaks of the Nexus 5 over the past few weeks, and if the discontinuation of the Nexus 4 is any indication, then the next Nexus could possibly be revealed fairly soon. Until Google makes any official announcement, all we can do is wait and continue to watch the Nexus 4 become extinct.
