Moto G Trademark Belongs To Motorola

moto-g0-trademarkThere is a Malay proverb that goes something like this (when loosely translated), when two elephants get into a tussle, the deer dies in the middle. Well, Both Nokia and Apple have made their fair share of announcements earlier today with their respective devices announced, Motorola, too, has some stuff that you might want to check out. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted a new trademark to Motorola, ensuring that the Google-owned company is now the owner of “Moto G”.

Needless to say, that is all that we know about the Moto G at the moment – the name. It remains to be seen just what this particular device would end up as, but considering how the Moto X has already arrived for some time already, chances are there that this trademark too, will have an association with the world of mobile devices. There were some whispers earlier on that pointed out the Moto G could function as a smartphone or as an accessory. What do you think? Could the “G” suffix actually be a thinly veiled attempt at pointing it to Google, who happens to own Motorola? Could this be a Google Edition of an upcoming device?

Only time will be able to tell, so rest assured that as and when news on the Moto G breaks, we will be there to cover it.
