iPhone 5s Sells Out In 24 Hours In India

iphone-5s-review-013The iPhone 5s is Apple’s latest smartphone and while it does keep to the design of its predecessor, the iPhone 5, it comes with improved hardware under its hood, namely the A7 processor, its M7 co-processor, and the TouchID fingerprint sensor, all of which makes it a pretty compelling purchase for those looking for a new phone. Interestingly enough it seems that the iPhone 5s has done pretty well for itself over in India which some consider to be an emerging market where low-cost devices, such as the Nokia Lumia 520 have flourished and in a way have helped boost the Windows Phone market share in India.

According to a report by the Times of India, it seems that the iPhone 5s has been so popular to the point where it has actually managed to sell out across all retailers in a matter of 24 hours, prompting retailers to ask for more stock. It seems that this stocking out might have something to do with the fact that projected sales in India weren’t high to begin with, especially in the face of the upcoming low-cost Nexus 5, to the point where Apple had only supplied retailers with 6,000 units of the iPhone 5s. The iPhone 5c is reportedly still available, but we guess the demand shows that customers are looking for the iPhone 5s, and not so much the iPhone 5c.
