Samsung Galaxy Round Sales Reportedly Around 10,000

galaxy roundIt was just last month that Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Round, a device which shared some specs of the Galaxy Note 3, with the main difference being its display which instead of being flat like most displays are, was curved instead, creating a rather unique design and feel to the device. Safe to say that was probably the first smartphone we’ve seen released to the market that sports a curved display (LG’s G Flex came in second not too long after) so it can’t be blamed if consumers are a little apprehensive about its usefulness. After all why buy a curved display when its flatter sibling is cheaper and has slightly better specs, right?

Well according to reports, it seems that to date Samsung has only managed to sell 10,000 units of the Galaxy Round. Once again we can’t say we’re too surprised that the Galaxy Round isn’t met with the same enthusiasm that Samsung’s other phones have received, namely due to it costing a bit more and also because at the moment, curved displays feel more like a proof of concept rather than actually adding any real value. These figures are not official so there is a chance that Samsung might have sold more (as with the case of the Galaxy Gear) than is being reported, but what do you guys think? Is 10,000 a believable figure?
