Boost Mobile Launches Moto G At $129.99

There are a few options available for people who don’t want to be tied down to a carrier with a conventional two year service contract, Boost Mobile is one of those options. The carrier today launched the affordable Moto G smartphone, a bonafide mid-range Android smartphone that offers respectable specifications. Moto G is actually the first Motorola handset on Boost Mobile since 2011, it is available for purchase today through the carrier’s website and will be available in its retail stores nationwide starting January 20th.

Moto G has a 4.5 inch HD display made with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. Under the hood there’s a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quadcore processor, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, 3G compatibility, Bluetooth 4.0, 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2,070mAh battery. Boost Mobile guarantees that its Moto G will receive Android 4.4 KitKat update as early as next month. Customers get 50GB of Google Drive storage for two years, and the smartphone also comes preloaded with the interactive NextRadio application. Motorola is officially selling the Moto G for $179.99, Boost Mobile is offering it at a significant discount for $129.99, both online and in stores. Those looking for more bang for their buck can head towards Verizon, which is selling Moto G to its prepaid customers for $99
