Bing Maps Preview App Offer 15 New 3D Cities

In fact, the folks over at Bing Maps claimed to have flown, driven and processed plenty ever since December 2013 in order to deliver another 15 more 3D cities to the initial launch list.

Thanks to the assistance of Master Builders – er, sorry, world builders from the video game industry, alongside the help and assistance from expert photogrammetrists, high definition aerial cameras and a huge data pipeline that is capable of crunching petabytes of imagery, the Bing team has delivered a far more natural method of experiencing this beautiful planet we call home. One is able to touch it, tilt it, tap it or turn it in order to immerse oneself and experience maps in totally new methods. The advanced geometry engine, street labels and markers will be able to dynamically adapt to your vantage point, allowing you to traverse the landscape in a new 3D manner. The cities that will now gain 360-degree views include Duisburg, Dresden, Marbella, Murcia, Montgomery, Bakersfield, Sacramento, San Francisco, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Columbus, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Gulport, Seattle, and San Francisco.
