Moto X Deal Gets Extended Till February 22nd

First launched back in August 2013, the Moto X was Motorola’s first flagship smartphone under Google’s banner. The smartphone was very well received, given that it offered impressive specifications at a reasonable price. Over the holiday season, Motorola launched a Moto X deal that cut the price of the off contract variant significantly. Due to consumer interest, Motorola then offered the same deal a fortnight later. Late last month another Moto X deal was offered, with the company slashing $70 off the off contract variant. Motorola has now confirmed that said deal has been extended till February 22nd.

Under this deal, the 16GB base Moto X model costs $329, a rather enticing price given the smartphone’s specifications. Only recently Motorola permanently reduced the price of the Moto X by as much as $180, an additional $70 discount on top of that gives holds out yet another reason to finally pull the trigger. Moto X’s future remains uncertain, as Motorola leaves the comforts of Mountain View and sets on the journey to Beijing. Google recently announced that its selling Motorola to Lenovo for $2.91 billion, and while the Beijing based company will use Motorola to further strengthen its push into the global smartphone market, it remains to be seen just how much the company itself,and its product lineup, will change once its under new ownership.
