The Walking Dead happens to be one of the most popular TV series out there, AMC’s zombie drama has a very loyal fan following, fans who are without a doubt waiting for the mid-season premiere to air today. Some fans have been more lucky than others, particularly those who happen to be on Xbox Live. Someone over at Microsoft accidentally posted The Walking Dead mid-season premiere on Xbox Live a day prior to its original air date.

The news first made it to Reddit, where it obviously caught the attention of quite a lot of people, including Microsoft. The company soon realized that there had been a slip up, so after a while the episode was pulled. So far it seems like the episode hasn’t found its way to file sharing websites, which would have been a major concern for executives over at AMC. The network did confirm that TWD’s mid-season premiere was leaked on Xbox Live, but declined to comment any further on it. This isn’t actually the first time that something like this has happened to The Walking Dead. The ongoing season’s first episode was accidentally posted prior to its intended air date last year by Google, which pulled it shortly after realizing what had happened.
