Vivo Xplay 3S Delayed Until End Of Feb

Back in December 2013, Vivo announced the world’s first smartphone with a QHD display in the form of the Vivo Xplay 3S, beating out companies like Oppo to the punch. The handset was initially pegged for a release on the 15th of January this year, before it was delayed to 12th of February, and given that we have since gone past that date, Vivo has since announced that they will be planning on releasing the smartphone by the end of February instead, and hopefully this time they will be able to meet that promise.

While Vivo did not specify what was causing the delays, speculation has it that it might be due to the supply of QHD displays which aren’t exactly very common, especially among smartphones, but hopefully Vivo will be able to sort this out ahead of Oppo’s Find 7 announcement which could be made on the 19th of March. For those unfamiliar with the Vivo Xplay 3S, apart from its 6-inch QHD display, the handset will also pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974AB chipset under the hood clocked at 2.3GHz. It will also come with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing with an aperture of f/1.8,a a 5MP front-facing camera, a 3,200mAh battery with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean running the show.
