Vueling happens to be a member of the IAG group that includes British Airways and Iberia, and they have decided to work with Sony to introduce an app which will make use of the Sony SmartWatch 2. Basically, anyone who wears this Android-powered timepiece on their wrist will be able to download the relevant boarding cards for their respective flights, too. This particular app would come in handy for passengers to carry their embarkation card in a 2D barcode, but will also serve as a platform for text messages and emails regarding their flight to be delivered right to their wrist. Its launch could not come at a better time too, as the European Union had just relaxed rules on the use of mobile devices during all phases of a flight which include both take-offs and landings.
