Toshiba Satellite P55t Notebook Launches Next Week

toshiba-p55tIt was at CES 2014 this year that Toshiba paraded a couple of notebooks that ran on Windows 8.1, where both of the notebooks revealed carried a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160. As to when either one of them would be released, that remained to be seen. Well, we are glad to bring you word today that one of them, the Toshiba Satellite P55t will at long last, go on sale this coming April 22nd in the U.S.

The Toshiba Satellite P55t notebook (which was previously known as the P50t) will feature a 15.6” Ultra HD TruBrite display that is capable of supporting 282 PPI, where Toshiba claims that each Ultra HD display will be individually calibrated by Chroma Tune, and is also Technicolor Certified during production in order to realize natural color expression with an accurate color gamut to deliver true-to-life imagery.

This translates to just about everything that you see on the screen being reproduced according to the original intent, and you can be quite sure that mismatches will be a thing of the past when it comes to viewing photos or other imagery. Underneath the 4.8 pound chassis lies a fourth generation Intel Core i7 processor, an AMD Radeon R9 M265X GPU with 2GB of video memory, support for up to 16GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive, a quartet of USB 3.0 ports, and an integrated Blu-Ray disc player. Pricing for the Toshiba Satellite P55t notebook starts at $1,499.99 and can only go north from there, depending on the hardware configuration that you pick. [Press Release]
