Finalists In Best Startup Competition At Augmented World Expo Announced

The Augmented World Expo is the largest event of its kind in the world for gesture devices, wearable computing and the Internet of Things. Now in its fifth year the expo is going to be held on May 27th at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Today the organizers of AWE 2014 announced five finalists that will go head to head for the Auggie Award for Best Startup.

The idea behind this award is to recognize the most exciting and innovative startup working in the field of wearable technology, augmented reality or Internet of Things. The five finalists include:

The five finalists will get five minutes each to pitch their company and product to a judging panel that consists of VCs and entrepreneurs. The judges panel will consist of David Wood and Chris McGugan for now. The panel, moderated by Ubergizmo co-founder Eliane Fiolet, asks questions, comments and then selects a winner based on the likelihood for success. Winner receives their Auggie Award during the wrap up ceremony on May 29th.
