AT&T LG G2 Gets Knock Code Feature In Latest Update

If you happen to own the LG G2 (having resisted the latest LG G3 smartphone which has earned rave reviews from many people out there), then you might be pleased to know that the LG G2 still has some life left in its legs, as it has just received a new software update that would bring along with it the Knock Code feature. Just for those who are not in the know, Knock Code happens to be an extension of LG Knock, where it enables one to turn the smartphone or tablet on and off through a simple double tap on the display. LG Knock works better when it comes to devices that do not have any kind of physical home buttons, and after using it for a while, feedback has been positive, since it is convenient to tap a sleeping handset to let it wake up without having to actually pick up the handset.

Knock Code happens to be cut from the same cloth, albeit it offers a greater level of security. In fact, you are able to come up with a password of your own simply by tapping four parts of a square in the order of your choice, and within three to eight taps, it will end up as your lock screen code. Unlocking the device would require you to tap it in a square in the order that you like, and all of the tapping need not happen right smack in the middle of the display, but rather, anywhere. All that and we’re not quite done with the best part yet – that is, it can be achieved even with the display turned off.

It is then nice to know that AT&T’s LG G2 is now on the receiving end of such an update, and this particular update will not see any changes to the Android version, since all it does is to introduce Knock Code, a better Calendar function and Exchange Active Sync to the mix.
