benq-f5-t3-639x420BenQ is a name that we might associate with computers and computer parts, like monitors, for example. However it seems that every now and then the Taiwanese company announces a new smartphone or two and if you’re interested in seeing what is the latest the company has to offer, BenQ has recently announced two handsets – the F5 and the T3.

According to BenQ, the F5 model is said to be the higher-end of the two. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and will come with 1GB of RAM on board. It will also pack a 5-inch display with a 720p HD resolution, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and will come in either 8GB or 16GB models that can have their memory expanded. It will also be available in black or white.

As for the T3 model, its specs aren’t that different from the F5. It too will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GBo f RAM. It will feature a slightly smaller display at 4.5-inches and its resolution will be qHD. It will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera.

Apart from the obvious differences in hardware, both phones will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a set of enhancements from BenQ which they are calling Q Home. No word on whether BenQ will be bringing these devices to international markets but for now, it looks like it could be limited to the Taiwanese market.
