Sony Xperia Z3 Drops By The FCC

xperia-z3-fccThe upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 which has seen its fair share of rumors in the past, has just dropped by the FCC where it has managed to pick up the relevant certification, and that more or less signals the readiness of the smartphone to roll out in the near future. Not only that, it seems as though the Sony Xperia Z3 has also managed to obtain its Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC certification processes along the way.

Known by the codename PM-0802-BV when the Sony Xperia Z3 was sent to the FCC, it looks set to arrive in a couple of models. One of the two models are set to arrive on the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo where it comes with the relevant chipsets to cater for local LTE in that part of the world. As for the rest of the world, the Sony Xperia Z3 will sport the model number D6653 (aka PM-0806-BV).

It remains to be seen just what kind of hardware specifications will the Sony Xperia Z3 pack, but a leak did arrive earlier this week, pointing to a speedy Snapdragon 801 chipset alongside a quad-core 2.4GHz processor and Adreno 330 GPU, not to mention being accompanied by a 20.7MP camera to boot.
