Verizon Moto G Earns Android 4.4.4 KitKat Wings

moto-G-review-14It was at the start of this week when we brought you word that an Android 4.4.4 KitKat soak test for both the Moto X as well as Moto G on Verizon kicked off, and I would suppose that everything went on just fine. After all, if things were to turn south, obviously the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update would not have been released for the Moto G on Verizon as it did, right? This particular firmware update would be made available to the masses via an Over The Air (OTA) update, and if your Verizon-bound Moto G from Motorola has yet to pick it up, just play the patience card for a little while longer.

Apart from that, we also do know that Motorola did confirm that both of their Moto G and Moto X smartphones are due to pick up an update for the upcoming Android L-release some time down the road, and the aforementioned update too, ought to roll out for the LTE version of the Moto G, but it must be noted that Verizon has not made available the Moto G LTE to the masses so far.

It would be interesting to see how far more one of the more successful Motorola devices in recent times will be able to go, as the Moto G maintains its position as Motorola’s highest selling smartphone to date – without any exact figures revealed.
