Additional Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A500F) Photos Leaked

SM-A500-GALAXY-A5-1Just yesterday thanks to a sighting on China’s TENAA (the country’s equivalent of the FCC) website, the Samsung SM-A500 was sighted. Well now thanks to the folks at SamMobile, they have not only managed to get their hands on some photos, but have possibly revealed the handset’s name in the process.

The device is apparently called the Samsung Galaxy A5. This device will be part of the Samsung A-series of smartphones which includes the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Alpha. However unlike the Galaxy Alpha which featured a metal band, the Galaxy A5 has been rumored to sport an all metal design, or a metal-like design.

According to SamMobile’s source, it isn’t metal nor plastic, but it is a material that apparently feels cold in the hand. The hardware specs of the Galaxy A5 aren’t much to shout about either and is said to feautre a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 2,330mAh battery, 16GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Like we said it’s not much to shout about, but it could be marketed in a way where it not only sports a premium feel, but it also comes with an affordable price tag. No word on when it will launch, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled anyway.
