Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Confirmed For AT&T

Samsung’s Galaxy Mega smartphones caught the market’s attention last year with their significantly large size. Even though now many Android smartphones have reached the 6-inch display size last year the Mega was in a league of its own. The successor, Samsung Galaxy Mega 2, was unveiled recently and today it has been confirmed that AT&T will be offering it in the U.S.

Sporting a 6-inch 720×1020 pixel resolution display the Galaxy Mega 2 has an 8 megapixel rear camera with 4X zoom. It has enhanced multi-tasking features which allow opening one app in two windows at once and even open two apps side by side.

Galaxy Mega 2 also has a Private Mode which can keep personal files under a password, The onboard quadcore processor is aided by improved battery management which Samsung claims will enable customers to get more out of the 2,800mAh battery. Ultra Power Saving mode is present as well.

AT&T will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 from October 24th. It will be available for $475 outright and for $149.99 with a new two year contract. It will be possible to purchase the device on AT&T Next 12 and 18 plans, customers would then have to pay $23.75 and $19.80 per month.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will be sold through AT&T’s online store as well as its brick and mortar locations across the country.
