Yes, we did talk about it earlier this week, and true to their word, the folks over at Motorola has started to roll out the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop software update for the Motorola G Google Play Edition. This particular update will be made available to the masses via an Over The Air (OTA) mode of delivery, and you ought to be patient if you have not yet received it as it is guaranteed to be coming your way.

Do bear in mind that the Motorola G Google Play Edition is a different animal from that of the standard issue Moto G, since it will run on a completely stock version of Android, without having the “baggage” of additional Motorola software or carrier software thrown into the mix.
