Users Reporting Nexus 6 Battery Cover Separating From Phone

nexus 6 problemThe Nexus 6 smartphone on paper sounds like the perfect device. High-end specs, an incredible display, not to mention the latest version of stock Android running on the device, but we suppose there is no such thing as the perfect handset. Recently we heard there were issues with incoming calls, and now it looks like there are some physical defects too.

According to a myriad of user reports, it has been reported that there is an issue with the battery cover of the Nexus 6. As you can see in the image above, the battery cover of the phone has separated from the body of the Nexus 6. There are multiple reports of this issue and it is unclear as to why this is happening.

Motorola’s Twitter account has acknowledged that this is a problem and has offered their help to get these devices replaced for their customers. That being said it should be noted that the Nexus 6 is not the only Motorola-made phone suffering from this problem. There have been similar issues cropping up with handsets like the Motorola Droid Turbo and last year’s Moto X.

Given that this is a physical defect, we guess there’s no “fix” to be had other than to take the phone in for a replacement, but hopefully Motorola will figure this problem out and subsequent handsets released by the company will have addressed this issue. In the meantime any of our readers with the Nexus 6 experience this problem too?
