iOS 9 Rumored To Focus On Overall Stability

At the Worldwide Developers Conference this year Apple will be expected to show off iOS 9. The previous major iOS releases have brought many new features for the company’s mobile devices. Apple has focused more on feature additions and it could change gears this time around. Rumor has it that iOS 9 will focus more on improving overall stability and optimization of the mobile operating system as opposed to adding a plethora of new features.

Stability improvements are included in almost every iOS update, major or incremental, but recent feature additions have decreased the operating system’s overall performance which has led to software-related issues that many users have faced.

The rumor suggests that iOS 9 is going to have many improvements made under the hood. Engineers working on the update are said to be giving special attention to fixing bugs, making the software more stable as well as improving system-wide performance.

This doesn’t mean that iOS 9 will not bring any new features. It just might, but if this rumor is to be believed then stability will be the core “feature” of iOS 9. Apple is also said to keep the size of the OS update down to further facilitate users with 16GB devices.

As always Apple is not commenting on the rumor. It hasn’t disclosed WWDC 2015 plans just yet so its too soon to say if this is really what iOS 9 is going to end up like.
