There might be pressure that hails from both Google and Microsoft which could very well prevent major manufacturers such as ASUS from coming up with dual-boot mobile devices, but tiny companies such as OEMs from China in the vein of Pipo do not seem to give two hoots about it. In fact, Pipo has just introduced a spanking new Atom-powered Windows 2-in-1 device in the previous month, and they are following up on that act with a 10.1” tablet that will be powered by a 14nm Intel Core M processor, and of course – it will also boast of dual booting capability in the vein of Windows 8.1 and Android.
As for the asking price, we are looking at a price tag of approximately $399. This particular tablet will arrive with 4GB RAM, where there will be a solitary USB 3.0 port as well as as a SD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Throw in a dock connector for a click-in keyboard, and you’ve got a decent entry level word processing device for road warriors who would want to get something simple done. There is also a separate power plug that paves the way for speedier charging. Well, what do you think of a small device like this – does it have a niche in the market?
