LG Teases F/1.8 Camera For The LG G4

Just yesterday LG released a new video in which they teased the upcoming LG UX 4.0 which would be making an appearance in the LG G4. Now the company has released a new teaser video in which they seem to be boasting about the camera for the upcoming handset. In the video, the company mentions that the handset will sport a camera with an f/1.8 aperture.

This is a pretty wide aperture that prime lenses used by DSLR cameras rely on to get a nice bokeh effect. It also allows for photos to be taken faster in low-light conditions due to it being able to let more light in, which presumably will be one of the highlights of the LG G4’s camera. The teaser also highlights the use of leather towards the end of the video although we have no idea what it will be used for.

It seems unlikely that LG might go for the faux leather back design since most OEMs these days are focusing on the use of metal and glass, but for all we know we could be surprised. It could be that LG might follow in the footsteps of Motorola by offering leather backplates as part of its design.

The company has scheduled an event for the 28th of April where the LG G4 will be officially announced. So far some confirmed specs of the handset includes a 5.5-inch QHD display and thanks to this teaser, an f/1.8 camera.
