LG’s new low-end smartphone has arrived on Boost Mobile today. It’s a good option for folks that want a simple Android device on a MVNO with none of the hassles that one experiences with a device obtained from a major carrier. The LG G Stylo is available from Boost Mobile today for $199.99, it will arrive on Sprint and Sprint Prepaid next month.

Despite the fact that the Stylo is a low-end device it does have a 5.7 inch HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 and a stylus pen for easy writing and drawing. It’s powered by a 1.2Ghz quadcore processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage with microSD card support, 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, Android 5.0 and a removable 3,000mAh battery.

Sprint, the parent company of Boost Mobile, is also going to offer this handset to its customers. Sprint Prepaid customers will be able to purchase the LG G Stylo on June 7th for $199.99 without contract. Those who want to get it on a two year contract can pick it up from Sprint on June 12, they will have to make equal monthly installments of $12 for 24 months.

The LG G Stylo is certainly far from an Android powerhouse but it’s a compelling option for people who want an Android phone capable of running basic tasks, it’s a good value for money.
