Google Slides Gets Chromecast Support To Aid With Presentations

There are plenty of applications available for putting together applications, PowerPoint happens to be a globally recognized name, but Google also has a trio of productivity apps that do more or less the same thing. Google Slides can be used to create presentations on a mobile devices or tablet, if you’re using the Android app, and those who rely upon it heavily for presentations will appreciate that the company has updated the app with Chromecast support.

Chromecast is a $35 dongle from Google that has been around for over a year now. The dongle became quite popular and Google has ended up selling millions of units.

Not only does it perform entertainment related functions, it also allows users to beam content from their personal devices to the big screen TV.

While desktop users can easily take advantage of the Google Cast Chrome extension to beam content over to Chromecast, Android users didn’t have that feature with the official Slides app until now.

Google is starting to roll out a new update for the Slides app that brings support for Chromecast, it will let users wirelessly beam all of their presentations to Chromecast.

Once content is being beamed the app will function as a remote control allowing users to control the presentation as they normally would. The APK file of this new update is online now and the new Google Slides app should soon be live in the Play Store.
