It looks like the very first cinematic trailer for Electronic Arts’ next game, Mass Effect: Andromeda, has been released – which means you can start saving up from now if you happen to be interested in the upcoming title from one of the best selling video game franchise of the previous decade. It will still be quite some time off before the release though, since the official release date has been set to be some time in the holiday season of 2016.

What will Mass Effect: Andromeda offer? The first Mass Effect trilogy with Mass Effect 3: Citadel wrapped things up slightly more than a couple of years ago, and it was then that planning and design on Mass Effect: Andromeda were already in the process. The new title will have a strong foundation that is based on the best parts of any Mass Effect game, ranging from exciting new worlds to discover to great characters and intense action.

It does look as though the title is starting to shape up to be a whole brand new adventure, which will happen far away from as well as long after the events of the original trilogy. You can be a female or male human, but that is not the character shown in the trailer, as you explore the all-new Andromeda galaxy while being transported around in the new and improved Mako.
