Galaxy Note 5 “Confirmed” To Sport Exynos 7422 & 4GB of RAM

Without fail Samsung launches a new Galaxy Note handset every year, and this year we can look forward to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Now we’re sure many are wondering what kind of specs the handset will feature, and while we have heard various rumors about the phone in the past, recent benchmarks have surfaced which helps clue us in a bit.

According the benchmarks obtained by the folks at GSMArena, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has been “confirmed” to sport a whopping 4GB of RAM. We’re not sure if anyone will ever need that much RAM as far as smartphones are concerned, but the more the merrier, right? The benchmarks also reveal that the phone will come with an Exynos 7422 processor on board.

As for its display, it appears that Samsung will be keeping its QHD 5.7-inch display but it is speculated that they might at the very least introduce some kind of improved technology, like better color reproduction, energy efficiency, and so on. According to the benchmark, it has also been revealed that the phone is running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, so if you were hoping for Android M at launch, that might not be the case.

Either way be sure to take it with a grain of salt for now, but Samsung has recently started to send out invites to an event that they will be hosting on the 13th of August.
