A few months back Samsung launched a couple of mid-range tablets under the Galaxy Tab A brand, these tablets have 4:3 aspect ratio displays and run Android Lollipop. The tablets arrived in the United States back in April as Wi-Fi only models but now it appears that T-Mobile is going to offer LTE compatible versions of these tablets in the near future.

Product support page for the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has already gone live on the T-Mobile website giving us a big hint that the tablet is headed to Magenta with cellular connectivity built-in.

The support page shows 8 inch Galaxy Tab A which has a Super AMOLED display, 1.2GHz quadcore processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage with microSD card support, 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front cameras, support for LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 7 and 12 as well as Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

The aforementioned page doesn’t reveal exactly when T-Mobile is going to launch this tablet and how much it’s going to ask for it, T-Mobile hasn’t made an official announcement yet.

As far as the price is concerned the Wi-Fi only 8 inch Galaxy Tab A goes for $229.99 right now so the same tablet with 4G LTE connectivity may cost a bit more than its Wi-Fi only variant, we’ll have to wait on T-Mobile for this rather important piece of information.
