Some Galaxy Note 5 Features Coming To S6 And S6 Edge Via New Update

Samsung-Galaxy-Note-5-16

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ last week, aside from the hardware improvements both devices come with several software enhancements as well that aren’t available on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. It appears that Samsung is bringing over some of those features from the new handsets over to the flagships it launched in March this year through a new software update.

Samsung is reportedly sending out this update for Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in South Korea first, the most obvious addition is Samsung Pay, the company’s new payments service is going live in South Korea later this month and next month in the United States. The software update will be required by both handsets before they’re able to use the service.

The update is also going to bring new user interface elements such as revamped icons and minor tweaks for TouchWiz, tweaks for Apps Edge on Galaxy S6 Edge and Knox security suite are also present on this update.

As previously mentioned this update is only being rolled out in South Korea for now but it’s likely that it may only be a matter of time before Samsung releases this update in more markets across the globe.
