iPhone 6s Benchmarked After Early Shipping

6s-benchmark-earlyWhile we all know that the spanking new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be made available to the masses this coming Friday on September 25th, it looks like this has not been a roadblock to Apple as well as its carrier partners from sending out pre-ordered units a wee bit earlier than expected. In fact, at least one AT&T customer residing in the US was a happy bunny, having a pleasant surprise in front of her doorstep with her rose gold iPhone 6s making an appearance. Hence, it is not surprising to see her post a slew of photos of her new prized possession, and with that, run a benchmark to boot.

Needless to say, the presence of the Apple A9 chipset underneath the hood in the iPhone 6s has made it a whole lot faster compared to its predecessors, which comes across as no surprise at all. Geekbench was the benchmark used, where the iPhone 6s achieved a 2,292 single-core score, with 4,293 for the multi-core score. Another run saw it hit a score of 2,413 in the single-core benchmark, which is mighty impressive when you pit it against figures from previous Apple devices. Well, are you looking forward to your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus turning up in front of your doorstep now?
