If that’s what you’re after, you might be interested in ProDrone’s new Byrd quadcopter. This is a quadcopter drone that can apparently lift a 4.5lbs payload, which is about the weight from a DSLR, or at least one of the smaller ones. It is also a foldable drone meaning that you can pack it up easily and slip it into a bag and bring it out with you.
It can also be controlled by two controllers which might seem like a recipe for confusion and disaster, is really meant to be a safety feature. It can also support video recording at 4K or 1080p resolutions, and will come with nifty features like follow-me (where the drone follows you) and GPS flying.
In terms of pricing, the Byrd will range between $800 to a whopping $3,000, although this will largely depend on your configuration. If you want the basic drone and you plan to use your own cameras, you can probably pick it up for cheaper. The Byrd has also been pegged for a release by the end of the year.
