Twitter On Windows Phone Removes Character Limit For Direct Messages Too

twitter_logoEarlier this year in June, there was an announcement which certainly got all fans of this microblogging service excited – apparently, Twitter made changes to its ‘Direct Messaging’ segment of the service by doing away with the 140 character cap that more or less limited the amount of stuff that could be mentioned in a direct message. Well, it seems that this restriction in Twitter for Windows Phone has also been removed, so you might want to download the latest version of the app for your Windows Phone-powered device today.

This particular updated Twitter for Windows Phone app will also bring along with it a slew of bug fixes, which is something that any decent app update should sport, too. Well, from now on, if you have downloaded and installed the latest version of Twitter for Windows Phone, you will be pleased to know that Direct Messages sent between individuals are able to contain up to 10,000 characters – what a mouthful that would be, don’t you think so? Still, this vastly improved ceiling of characters should be able to keep most of the service’s user happy.

The latest update to version 3.2.2.0 would be worth checking out, even if you have already installed the July update.
