If you are a current subscriber to the MMORPG Wildstar, you might be interested to learn that the game will be getting an upgrade in the graphics department. This was announced by the game’s developers Carbine Studios on the Wildstar blog in which they revealed, much to the delight of fans, that the game would be getting a visual makeover.
According to the developers, “As we approached work on the WildStar: Reloaded update on September 29 we decided to revisit some art decisions we made for the game’s launch that were based on tech limits—namely with lighting, skyboxes, and viewing distance—while we had the chance.”
While Wildstar’s graphics were pretty decent to begin with, the upgraded graphics takes the game to a whole new level. In fact if you might want to create new characters just to experience the revamped zones. For example as you can see in the image above, that is the revamped Dominion Arkship Destiny.
From what we can tell, the majority of the upgrades seem to touch on the lighting side of things. Shadows are more pronounced, the lighting is now more dynamic, and there is a clearer distinction between darker and lighter areas. Wildstar: Reloaded is expected to be released on the 29th of September, so you might want to keep an eye out for that.
