In the letter, Cox did say, “We owe you a better service and a better experience using Facebook, and we’re going to fix the way this policy gets handled so everyone affected here can go back to using Facebook as you were.”
As part of their effort to simplify the verification process, Facebook is looking for new methods in which people will provide personal and confidential information about themselves concerning the circumstances surrounding their choice of name. Not only that, we might also be treated to a new version of Facebook’s profile reporting process, and that process could very well ask for additional information on why someone else is asking for action to be taken against that particular account. Hopefully Facebook can pull this one off well.
