Audi S8 Plus Confirmed For US Release

For those of you who would love to have plenty of power behind the wheel, and yet not want to fork out the insane amount of money required for a supercar, then the Audi S8 Plus might be worth checking out, especially when it has been confirmed to make its way to the US. The Audi S8 Plus will feature a similar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 found in the current S8 and the Bentley Continental, but it will boast of 605 hp and 516 lb-ft torque – resulting in a 0-62 time quoted at 3.8 seconds.

This would mean that the other players in the field such as the Mercedes-AMG S63, Jaguar XJR, and Maserati Quattroporte might want to take a look over their shoulders. While pricing has not yet been announced, it should cost somewhere in the region of $140k thereabouts, and expect the Audi S8 Plus to debut in LA with the new RS7 Performance and the second-generation R8 in tow as well.
